As precipitation forms above the lush, tropical mountains of Mauritius, this is where our journey begins. The rain is collected in the creeks and valleys of the Pieter Both mountain range.

Filtered through basaltic rock

As the rain is filtered through the basaltic rock it becomes enriched with electrolytes and essential minerals. Layers and layers of volcanic rock, laid down when the island formed.

Stored 100 m below ground

The water settles in an artesian well sitting below layers and layers of earth and rock at our source: a pristine, multi-layered aquifer, replenished continuously by the island's rainfall.

Our 600ml and 1.5L bottles are made from a blue tinted PET that further prevents breakdown from UV rays. It is the reason for our unique blue bottle.

Using a precise form blowing technology, our 600ml bottles now use 32% less plastic and our 1.5L bottles 18% less, reducing our plastic use by several tonnes per year.

Our story

At the foot of a legend

Our source is found on the remote island of Mauritius, at the foot of the legendary Pieter Both Mountain, the second-highest peak on the island. The mountain's unique shape has been the inspiration of many local stories and fables.

8 million years old

The volcanic island, formed 8 million years ago, is situated in the Indian Ocean off Africa's coast, home to an array of unique species of birds, and was once the home of the dodo.

From a constantly self-replenishing source

The source of our water, over 100 m deep, is a pristine, multi-layered artesian aquifer, rich in electrolytes and essential minerals, replenished continuously by the island's 1500 mm of yearly rainfall.

Our sustainability goals are based on two main pillars: packaging technology and environmental impact. Every decision we make is focused on furthering the progress made within these two pillars.

Less emissions
We are continuously optimising to diminish our environmental impact by increasing efficiency wherever possible. We use Euro 5 emission trucks for all our logistics.
Energy management
Our bottling facility uses automated, energy-efficient systems and solar water heating, lessening our energy use by 30% and ultimately reducing our carbon footprint by 50%.
Carbon neutral
Our environmental policies are formed around becoming certified as carbon neutral, and we are reducing our emissions at each level of our process, from materials to production, transportation and recycling.
